HB ELITE is Northern Michigan’s unified travel basketball club and premier youth skill development program.
By combining Northern Michigan coaching resources, gym time, and player talent, HB aims to unite fragmented players, programs, schools, and communities to challenge athletes to develop through highly competitive travel team tournaments, local skill training, and practice sessions.
HB ELITE is ONE hoops community and will be ONE basketball club representing Northern Michigan!
Whether you make the top HB ELITE travel teams or create a local DIY HB team with our skill training and coaching guidance, we ask that ALL players, athletes, and families work together to give their kids the best, most supportive basketball experience possible.
HB ELITE BASKETBALL CLUB
THE HB ELITE TRAVEL TEAMS FALL/WINTER 2025/2026
The FALL/WINTER 2025/2026 HB ELITE travel season runs from November to March.
Boys' and girls' HB Elite middle school teams will play in four to six travel tournaments. Traveling two to four hours is required for most, if not all, weekend tournaments in Michigan.
Boys' and girls' HB Elite high school teams will play in five to eight travel tournaments. Traveling two to four hours is required for most, if not all, weekend tournaments in Michigan. A few may be out of state, and some tournaments may be in July.
We will try to have eight players per team, with two more players as flex two-way players for tournaments as needed (not guaranteed). These two players will pay reduced season package fees.
We will aim for one practice weekly, depending on gym time availability. We don’t have our facility. HB rents and collaborates with local schools to secure gym time.
We will offer HB ELITE ALL-ACCESS separately this season to lower families' costs.
Our goal is to develop Northern Michigan athletes by giving them more Northern Michigan opportunities to compete, play, and train with our pro-skills trainers, coaches, and players inside the HB Elite program.

THE HB TRAVEL BASKETBALL ORGANIZATION
THE HB VISION: to develop youth basketball athletes into leaders who excel on and off the court.
THE HB MISSION: to be Northern Michigan’s first unified and premiere youth basketball development program.
THE HB COMMITMENT: To work together and combine fragmented travel clubs, schools, and programs to provide consistent access to skill training, practice time, fundamental coaching, HB camps, an at-home HB training app, and proper placement onto our local school-based or elite travel teams.
THE HB GOAL: By combining local programs, resources, gyms, coaches, and talent, we can challenge kids to develop and grow wherever they are on their basketball journey. There is no school separation or fragmented clubs at tournaments. HB is ONE basketball program and club representing Northern Michigan across the state.
