HB ELITE is Northern Michigan’s unified travel basketball club and premier youth skill development program.

By combining Northern Michigan coaching resources, gym time, and player talent, HB aims to unite fragmented players, programs, schools, and communities to challenge athletes to develop through highly competitive travel team tournaments, local skill training, and practice sessions.

HB ELITE is ONE hoops community and will be ONE basketball club representing Northern Michigan!

Whether you make the top HB ELITE travel teams or create a local DIY HB team with our skill training and coaching guidance, we ask that ALL players, athletes, and families work together to give their kids the best, most supportive basketball experience possible.

5th Grade Boys: 1:00–2:30 PM
6th Grade Boys: 1:00–2:30 PM
7th Grade Boys: 1:00–2:30 PM
8th Grade Boys: 2:30–4:00 PM

TRYOUT FEE: $25

Players should bring a basketball, water bottle, and reversible jersey.

October 11 is the ONLY scheduled open tryout for the 2026–27 HB ELITE Boys AAU season.

All interested 5th–8th grade boys should register in advance and make every effort to attend.

HOW PLAYERS WILL BE EVALUATED

We believe players should be evaluated on more than just one day.

Current HB ELITE Fall League players who register for AAU will also be evaluated throughout Fall League through skill work, 3-on-3, and 5-on-5 competition, in addition to the October 11 tryout.

NOT IN FALL LEAGUE? NO PROBLEM.

You do NOT have to participate in HB ELITE Fall League to make an AAU team.

October 11 is an open tryout for all 5th–8th grade boys interested in playing for HB ELITE.

Fall League participation does not guarantee a roster spot, and Fall League participation is not required to earn one.

CURRENT HB ELITE FALL LEAGUE PLAYERS

Current Fall League players interested in AAU will be evaluated throughout Fall League and during the October 11 tryout.

Because Fall League families have already paid for their October 11 session, current HB ELITE Fall League players try out FREE.

A private registration code will be sent directly to Fall League families.

All Fall League players interested in AAU must still register for the tryout.
